Cemetery Background

Doon Presbyterian Church Cemetery is a historic community cemetery located on Mill Park Drive in Kitchener.
Established in 1854 on land donated by Robert Ferrie, it includes earlier burials on the site that reflect the area’s
earliest settler families. Owned by Doon Presbyterian Church, the cemetery has long served the wider community
as well as the congregation. It remains an active cemetery and a place of cultural heritage significance, including
the resting place of celebrated Canadian landscape artist Homer Watson and many other notable Doon residents.
The grounds offer a peaceful setting for remembrance, reflection, and care.
