The Memorial Committee was established by Session.

Memorial Events, Projects & Duties

The duties of the committee include: administration of the Memorial Fund, recording of Memorial Donations and Dedications in the Memorial Book, arranging for the purchase and dedication of Memorial Gifts; co-ordinating Flower Memorials on Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day; and, maintaining a Historical Record of Doon Presbyterian Church through photograph albums.

Some of the Memorial initiatives have included the furnishing of the Memorial Room at the time of the renovations, the Memorial Patio, and the purchase of new pew bibles for the sanctuary. The committee has also worked with individuals in the establishment of specific memorial requests. Please feel free to contact any member of the committee if you have any questions.

Memorial Members & Meetings

The current members are: Kathleen Barker, Nancy MacLaurin, Lillian Morgan, and Kathy Kiggins (convener). Members are elected by the congregation at our Annual Meeting. One member must be a ruling elder of Doon Presbyterian Church. The term for each member is three years. At the end of the three-year-term the member may stand for re-election and, provided this is the will of those attending the Annual Meeting, would be re-elected to a subsequent three-year term.
