Seniors’ Social

Seniors’ Social (55 plus) under the Sponsorship of Doon Presbyterian Church
Our group gathers together in friendship, support for one-another and general camaraderie.  We meet every Wednesday afternoon (July and August excepted) in the Fellowship Hall at 1:30 pm, and usually finish before 4 pm.

We meet to play cards, dominoes, or just socialize and share our stories.  What a wealth of stories we seniors have!  We are a very happy band of seniors who have a lot of fun and warmly invite others to join us.  Our group is comprised mainly of members of the congregation, but community neighbours are happy to join in with us. So far we have fundraised money for two panes of the Church’s Sanctuary Windows Restoration Fund. From time to time we invite guest speakers in and also take trips out.  Sometimes we join forces with the seniors at the Doon Village Retirement Residence who invite us to their social activities.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, September 6 th .  We really look forward to seeing you there!
