Update – Renewal Project

  • The Renewal Project Leadership Team has been busy over the past couple of months collecting information from our congregation. To this point, more than 50 individuals have rovided a significant amount of information.
  • Have you had an opportunity to contribute your thoughts?  If not, would you like to do so? Contact Inge Ford (519-748-6091) at your earliest convenience so that an interview can be arranged. We believe that prayerful consideration will allow us to discern what God expects of us at Doon Presbyterian Church.

Cash for Trash (Borrowing Paul’s words!)

  • We didn’t expect to get much money as the weather turned cold keeping people indoors and we had recently had other events at the Church, but we did manage to house-clean and get rid of a lot of rubbish before the month of May which was our objective.
  • Nevertheless, we raised $347 for the sale of goods and $90 for the muffins and bakes donated by Marna and Cathy, making a total of $437 which has been given to our Church’s General Fund.  The leftover books will go to a charity fundraiser in Oakville and the goods to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
  • We wish to thank those who gave of their time cleaning house and setting up – Brian Banks, Cathy MacDonald, Marna & Gerry Riopel, Mary & Jack Holmes, Linda Corey, Joan Oleskevich, Frank Hyde and Eric Stephenson for getting the signs the right way up.  The Little Lambs’ Room is unrecognizable and we can now see the floor in the back room for first time in 4 years.  Thanks everyone for your support.
